Women: Exploring Our Lived and Spiritual Realities--FEMININE IMAGES OF GOD

Throughout much of history, God has been described in masculine terms. Yet, we know that God is neither male nor female, for God transcends all images. Today, modern Christian scholars have been re-examining the Scriptures and other classical works and discovering some rich feminine symbolisms for God. This evening will introduce these images and invite us to examine how they affect our relationship with God, each other – male and female, and all of creation.
